In order to deal with the great challenges facing in domestic and international economic and financial fields, meet new opportunities for the construction of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and to steadily boost the Group"s strategic planning and industrial distribution, the first Shanghai open research institution co-constructed by the enterprise, bank and university -Shanghai Finance University Goocoo Research Institute (Free Trade Area Finance Research Institute) has been officially established on 25 November, being jointly financed by Goocoo Group, Shanghai Branch of Bank of China and Shanghai Finance University. President Yuan Qihong of Goocoo Group serves as Honorary President and Director Zhou Zhenhua of the Development Research Center of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government serves as President.

The Institute, basing on the preponderant disciplines of Shanghai Finance University and well-known experts & scholars and integrating various kinds of social resources, sets up an open and innovative international platform for personnel globally interested in being engaged in researches of finance, economy, management, etc. This platform is not only the innovative platform integrating politics, industry, study and research, but also the cultivation platform for interdisciplinary and cross-industry research teams and development platform for applied research achievements. Thus such platform has become a brand new stage for many scholars matching government and industry requirements, focusing on the major economic and social problems and carrying out application countermeasures study and strategy consultancy.

Shanghai Finance University Goocoo Research Institute (Free Trade Area Finance Research Institute) is the high-end enterprise think tank dedicatedly created by Goocoo Group, and is an important part of the Group “soft power”. Goocoo will continue to work with the domestic and foreign well-known institutions and scientific research institutes to carry out strategic cooperation, integrate high-end extended mind resources and absorb prospective research achievements so as to inject advanced concepts for the group operation, actively offer suggestions and fully boost the sustained, rapid and sound development of Goocoo Group and its industry sectors.
