Goocoo Group Signs Cooperation Agreement with Rovio Company

On May 28, 2014, Goocoo Group signed MOU agreement with ROVIO Company, brand owner of the “Angry Birds”, becoming the chief comprehensive strategic partner of “Angry Birds” in China. The agreement was signed by Yuan Qisheng, Investment President of Goocoo Group and Teemu Suila, CEO of Rovio Company on behalf of the parties concerned.

Founded in 2003, Rovio Company has rapidly grown into an internationally renowned large entertainment and media company in ten years and has successfully created the image of the “Angry Birds”. “Angry Birds” was created as a casual puzzle game based on touch screen of smart phones, and since its promotion in 2009, it quickly swept the globe and successively set new records in all corners of the world. The image of “Angry Birds” has become a recognized iconic symbol of international pop culture. Currently, Rovio Company has already released nine “Angry Birds”-themed games on different platforms, including Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space, Angry Birds Friends, Amazing Alex, Bad Piggies, Angry Birds Star Wars and its updated version, which rank first in paid Apps for mobile games. Apart from its great success in mobile game sector, Angry Birds has also obtained outstanding achievements in areas such as film & TV, animation culture, publication, derivatives, theme parks, etc., forming an entertainment industrial chain with huge scale, abundant resources and remarkable benefits. Image of the “Angry Birds” has also won support among the people and can be seen everywhere, becoming a popular internationalized brand.
