The 19th RoboCup sponsored by Goocoo Group was inaugurated

    The 19th RoboCup was inaugurated magnificently on July 19 in Anhui International Conference and Exposition Center. As a sponsor of this contest, Goocoo Group was invited to participate in opening ceremony and this contest, and set up an innovation experience area for Goocoo Robots in core area of main stadium. Wu Cunrong, member of the Standing Committee of Anhui Province and Hefei Municipal Party Committee Secretary participated in opening ceremony and announced formal opening. Otherwise, Itsuki Noda, Chairman of RoboCup Federation expressed special thanks to sponsorship of Goocoo Group, Chen Xiaoping, Professor, Director of USTC-Goocoo Robot Research Center, and Director of USTC Robot Lab, spoke onstage.
    After the opening ceremony, Secretary Wu Cunrong and relevant leaders & guests present at the opening ceremony made an inspection tour for various exhibition areas and observed the contest progress. Secretary Wu Cunrong and guests watched demonstration of meal delivering by new-generation Goocoo Robot when they came to innovation experience area for Goocoo     Robots; and they spoke highly of intelligent services and lovely model of robot. The innovation experience area for Goocoo Robots also became one of the hottest areas on the day of opening ceremony in the hall; especially, meal delivering robots and usher robots were very popular with audiences especially kids.
    Major media such as CCTV, Xinhua Net, Renmin Ribao, Sina Net, Ifeng Net reported the opening ceremony; thereinto, CCTV economical channel made special interview toward innovation experience area for Goocoo Robots, and took pictures of demonstration process of robots. During the interview, Chen Gang, Doctor from Goocoo Robot Industry Holdings LTD made detailed introduction to journalist on current situation and blueprint for Goocoo Robot Industry, and on characteristics of usher robots and meal delivering robots.
    It is reported that this robot world cup is divided into professional group and youth group, and that contestants from 47 countries and regions all over the world took part in the contest. There are 11 major terms in the contest and 3 series of “Robot Soccer”, “Service Robot” and “Rescue Robot”; meantime, many activities such as “Robot Product and Technology Exhibition”, “Robot Industry Summit”, “Experience of Education and Scientific Research with Robots”, and etc would be launched. The team of University Of Science and Technology of China, the partner of Goocoo Group, is also the hot team in this contest; this university has won 10 items of competition in total since it firstly won single champion in 2006.
    Goocoo Group always sticks to concepts of “Strengthening the country with science & technology and serving the country with industry”, and is committed to robot industry with practical action. In the future, Goocoo Group will continue to cooperate with RoboCup, thus to build the path for Anhui Robot to global market.
