Major Media Reported New-generation Intelligent Service Robots from Goocoo Group One after Another

    On the morning of July 15, the new-generation intelligent service robots researched and developed by Anhui Goocoo Robot Industry Holdings LTD were put into use when the opening of 19th RoboCup was round the corner. More than 10 media including Renmin Ribao, Anhui Ribao, Anhui Jingjibao, Anhui Shangbao, Hefei Broadcasting and TV Station, Hefei Ribao, Hefei Wanbao, Jianghuai Chenbao and Shichang Xingbao, and Publicity Departments under government agencies such as Hefei Municipal Government, Hefei Municipal Science & Technology Bureau, and Administrative Commission of the Hefei High-tech Zone came for interview one after another.     Once the journalists walked into the door, they were immediately attracted by usher robots “Googoo” and “Coocoo”. These two usher robots are researched and developed after meal delivering robots; with functions such as intelligent expressions, face recognition and tracking, and bilingual voice interaction, they are responsible for welcoming guests, guiding guests in sightseeing tour, and showing relevant characters, pictures and video data to guests; they are able to conduct voice interaction with guests, and to guide guests in sightseeing tour.

    The vivid and humorous dialogue aroused laughter’s of journalists. Most journalists expressed that it was hard to believe that the man-machine interaction in science fiction films would come true if without personal experience. Later on, the eyes of journalists lighted up due to wonderful demonstration of new-generation meal delivering robots, they acclaimed the demonstration as the peak of perfection. With most advanced driving wheel suspension system, the meal delivering robots have functions such as obstacle avoidance, remote control and voice broadcast and quite strong continuous operation ability; these robots are able to provide coffee ordering and delivering service to customers. After a customer orders his coffee, a robot shall return to kitchen to fetch the ordered coffee, deliver the coffee to the table of that customer as per route set in advance, and remind by voice customer or waiter to take away the coffee.
    Later on, journalists came to Goocoo Robot Theme Restaurant, and true experienced one time of service by intelligent robots; they interviewed the customers in the restaurant at random. As far as service is concerned, the robot waiter acquired uniform recognition from journalists and customers in the restaurant.
    “Besides usher robot and meal delivering robot, there is another coffee robot that is not named”, Doctor Chen Gang made introduction to journalists; he also revealed that it was predicted that these two styles of robots in “upgraded version” would be put into mass production in next year and be put into use in robot restaurant.     On July 16, major media that came for interview published articles with titles such as “Service Robot Made Famous”, “Industrial Robots Started New Era of ‘Made in Heifei with Wisdom’”, “RoboCup is coming, Do you expect such a “Baymax”?”; they made reports on new-generation intelligent service robots and robot business of Goocoo Group, which were reprinted by large network media such as Renmin Network, Xinhua Network, Sina Network, Netease News, Tencent Network, Robot China Network, Zhong’an Online, and Anqing Network, thus a great upsurge of media in reporting robots was formed, and warm-up for opening of the 19th RoboCup sponsored by Goocoo Group was completed.
