    When the switch is turned on, seasoning juices are automatically poured into the pan followed by broccoli, bacon and mushrooms, the robot with blinking big eyes stretches out its red arm to cover the pan, and the dish is well cooked several minutes later when food in the pan is mixed by spatula in the cover which looks like nine-tooth iron rake of Zhu Bajie. The pan moves to the left and turns on one side to place the food in the plate, and the first “Happiness Story” cooked by robot is prepared. You will feel enjoyable when tasting the crispy broccoli and tender mushrooms cooked by robot. In this robot-themed restaurant, customers can not only taste the dishes cooked by robots, but also order dishes in body of robot and ask robot to deliver the dishes as attendants.     In the afternoon of December 24, reporters of Jianghuai Morning Post  arrived at the shopping mall opening soon on Meishan Road to visit the first robot-themed restaurant in Hefei. The restaurant was still under busy internal trial operation through which cooking of robot is debugged, dish delivery by robot is tried and attendants are trained to order dishes in the screen of robot.
    At the entrance of the restaurant, several small robots for dish delivery are firmly standing in a row. They look really cute with the height of only 1.2 m, round head, protruding ears, silver white body and either heart-shaped or cute cat head-shaped blinking eyes.
    Programmer from robot manufacturer in Kunshan is now debugging the robot attendants. The tiny robots stretching their arms to hold service plates are slowly moving forward along the black light sensitive tracks and their chubby bodies look rather cute. When reaching the fork of two tracks, the tiny robot will stop for a while to identify and decide the way to go next. “You can press the corresponding red button in the back of robot to set the table number for dish delivery and the robots will deliver the dishes according to preset routes” said the programmer. However, the robots are not always that obedient. Look, the little robot set by programmer to reach table 3 in the second row continuously goes forward when the table is reached, while the programmer is busy with the light sensitive tracks and doesn’t notice the abnormal behavior of it. The cute robot almost goes to the cashier when programmer raises his head.
“They are still under debugging and this will not happen when debugging is finished” said by programmer, who is also laughing when seeing the “naughty” behavior of the tiny machine.

Taste – dishes cooked by robots are very delicious
    Compared with the cute robot attendants, the robot chefs standing in the buffet are much more serious. The robot chef responsible for deep fryer holds two steel hooks in its arms, two trays are placed in the grooves at both sides of the pan and food is placed inside the trays; the trays will automatically lean to pour the food in the pan when appropriate temperature of oil is reached.
    Robot chef responsible for frying pan is equipped with a pan cover in its arm and the spatula in the cover looks like nine-tooth iron rake of Zhu Bajie; food is automatically poured into the pan and the dish named Happiness Story is made several minutes later after several times of stir frying.
After robot chef finished the dish, people standing nearby whispered: “does the dish cooked by robot taste good?” “You can have a try” answered by the chef busy with food cutting, who turned around to deal with his work later.
    Reporters from Jianghuai Morning Post asked for a pair of chopsticks from the attendants in the restaurant and tasted the food. After eating the crispy broccoli and fresh and fragrant mushrooms, they found that dishes cooked by robots are just the same as those cooked by person. The reporter who has worried about the taste of dishes cooked by robots at first could not help tasting a slice of bacon. “Dishes cooked by robots taste really delicious”. According to person working in the restaurant, dishes that can be cooked by robots at present include chicken neggets, potato chips, onion rings, water chestnut and shelled shrimps, fresh shrimp dumplings, etc.
    Except for robot chefs and attendants, robots for entertainment purposes will also be introduced in the restaurant in the days to come. “The entertainment robots can play chess with customers, draw the face of customer after certain time of eye contact and can interactive with customers during their time of eating” said by person working in the restaurant. Currently, over ten robots have already been delivered to the restaurant and are under debugging these days.
