The Largest Robot-themed Restaurant in China Opens in Hefei

Singing, dancing, playing magic cube, playing chess, greeting, cooking and dish delivering all by robots… Located in Goocoo Plaza IFC, Meishan Road, Hefei, the first robot-themed restaurant formally opened in Anhui Province on December 26. It is known that it is the largest robot-themed restaurant in China at present. Two large transformers named “Optimus” and “Bumblebee” are greeting the customers at the entrance of the restaurant.On the opening day, over 30 robots were under ordered operation, attracting many citizens to experience. The restaurant was bustling and hot and children were happy when seeing large transformers.At the entrance of the restaurant, a robot will automatically rotate its body and greet with incoming and outgoing customers in Hefei dialect.
Robot attendants are kept in line and prepared for “work”. Reporters have understood that robot-themed restaurant has been emerging in China since recent one and two years and professional robot manufacturer can supply robots to restaurants and provide technical supports. Despite of their tiny dimensions, sale price of the robots is about RMB 70,000, nearly the same as a cheap car.
Ordering can also be realized by robotThe robots look just like the attendants when dishes are in their trays. They will automatically go to the table of the customer when restaurant assistant sets the table to deliver. According to the restaurant, the secret lies in the black tracks in the ground. These tracks look just like ceramic tiles, but the robots can identify the tiny difference and run along the tracks due to the difference between the tracks and ceramic tiles in photographic sensitivity. More advanced program is required to choose the direction and to avoid collision with other robots.This is a robot especially responsible for frying and it can mainly cook western style dishes. It can independently control the oil temperature, pour materials and place the well fried food after certain periods of time.
This is a robot responsible for cooking dishes. Different saucing juices will be automatically poured into the pan from the small window at left of the robot and the food will be stirred at the same time. About 5 minutes later, a home style dish with the perfect combination of outstanding color, flavor and taste is made.

Robots may sometimes break down and engineer of manufacturer is now “checking” the robot. The circuit lines of robot are very complicated after opening the rear housing.

In the art space beside the restaurant, many super heroes made from metal wastes are standing there. You can see Optimus with the height of 3 m, minor robots with the height of only 1 m, and even Bumblebee with one hand lying on ground jumping through walls. Visitors stopped at them to take photos and the robot fans couldn’t help touching them to feel the sense of reality.

Except for transformers, licensed Doraemon 2014-2015 special exhibition authorized by Japan can also be seen there. Super-large floor screen with the width of 6 m and the height of 3 m are playing classical Doraemon animation, and the high definition picture and 3D stereo surround sound attracted many kids.
