Goocoo Group Joins Hands with USTC and High-tech Zone to Position Robot R&D and Manufacturing Industry

    Recently, the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei High-tech Zone and the Anhui Goocoo Investment Group signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation regarding development of robot industry in the Institute of Advanced Technology, University of Science and Technology of China. Goocoo Group signed three agreements i.e. the USTC – Goocoo Cooperation Agreement of Combined Robot Research Center, the Framework Agreement for Strategic Cooperation of Hefei Robot Industrial Park Project and the Framework Agreement for Development Fund Cooperation of Hefei Robot Industry with USTC and Hefei High-tech Zone. Wu Cunrong, Secretary of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee and Hefei Municipal Committee of CPC, other provincial leaders, renowned experts of robot industry from China and abroad and representatives of famous enterprises participated in the signing ceremony. Li Bing,     Secretary of Party Working Committee and Managing Director of Managing Committee of Hefei High-tech Zone presided at the ceremony.
The foundation of manufacturing industry in Anhui Province is solid and robot industry is also a pillar industry whose development is encouraged by both Anhui Province and Hefei. Goocoo Group, the best private enterprise in Anhui Province, has been engaged in diversified transformation and innovative development since 2012, which, has cooperated with the USTC and Hefei High-tech Zone to set the development fund for robot industry, establish the combined robot research center, jointly construct Hefei Robot Industrial Park and create the robot industry incubation platform. It is another significant strategic layout of transformation and innovative development of Goocoo Group after its investment in animation culture industry and entering into the financial service industry.
    During the signing ceremony, Yuan Qihong, Chairman of Goocoo Group said that, high-tech sectors are always the direction of development that Goocoo Group is paid attention to. Facilitating the robot industry together with USTC and Hefei High-tech Zone complies with industrial policies of the state and conforms to market demands. It is believed that Hefei robot industrial park will surely become a shining star and will be turned into a new highland of Hefei high-tech manufacturing industry with the technical support from USTC, the policy support from Hefei High-tech Zone and the recognition and caring of provincial and municipal leaders.
    Han Bing, Member of CPC Standing Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Hefei addressed that, focused on the strategic positioning of “An Innovative Lake City”, Hefei is now accelerating the construction of innovative city, vigorously creating open highlands, investment lowlands and scientific research bases facing the entire globe, and facilitating the leapfrog development of strategic emerging industries. Represented by intelligent robots, the strategic emerging industries belong to knowledge- and capital-intensive industries and are the major development direction of China. In development of intelligent robot industry, Hefei has several unique advantages including core technologies, application integration that has begun to take shape, broad regional application markets, industrial system that is initially formed as well as the innovative capabilities. This strategic cooperation between the USTC, Hefei High-tech Zone and Goocoo Group is the powerful combination of the parties to create mutual benefits. It is hoped that the three parties can, based on the strategic consensus, further facilitate the project-related negotiations and cohesions and try to start and complete the construction of this project as soon as possible. The municipal party committee and government of Hefei will make all efforts to providing various services and supports, thus ensuring thriving growth of intelligent robot industry in the rich soil of Hefei and turning it into an intelligent growth source of Hefei economy.
    Hou Jianguo, Principal of the USTC pointed out that the USTC possesses world-leading service robot technologies, Goocoo Group is a comprehensive international large enterprise and group while Hefei High-tech Zone is the core area of comprehensive pilot zone independently innovated by Hefei, Wuhu and Benbu that has cultivated and transformed various excellent high-tech enterprises. The combination of the three parties will realize corner overtaking of intelligent robot industry in China and improve the overall level of China robot industry.
