Hefei Goocoo Plaza Will Use Robot Shop Assistants

These robot shop assistants are all “beautiful ladies” in the height of 1.65 m. ““Kejia” technologies can be used to produce robots served as shop assistants within 3 months” said Chen Xiaoping, Professor of the USTC. The robots adopt full automatic navigation system to realize the shopping guide functions, and these technologies are only possessed by some groups across the world. On October 13, tests have already been carried out in Goocoo Plaza and the robots can deal with basic conditions.
    “The first round of traveling is to get familiar with the stores and the robots can know the stores after the second round” said Chen Yongle. The shop assistant robots introduced by Goocoo Plaza are equipped with interaction interfaces and their memory abilities are also very strong. After the first round of traveling, they can create the map of the stores and store it in its system. Those equipped with VoiceCloud can also communicate and talk with others.
According to Chen Xiaoping, USTC, Hefei High-tech Zone and Goocoo Group have signed agreements to establish industrial cluster service platform (incubator) in Hefei Robot Industrial Park. By implementing robot R&D, industrialization, market promotion, etc., robot research center will be set up, the construction of robot industrial part will be commenced and the fund for robot industry will be set, in order to attract famous agencies and enterprises in China and abroad.
